About

Who I
am

A cross border banking, finance, and technology law consultant, shaped by education and work across three legal systems that rarely agree with one another.

Profile, record, commitmentsBoston, Massachusetts

Profile

My journey began with a strong commitment to justice and an eagerness to understand how law interacts with technology and finance.

I am currently pursuing an LL.M. in Banking and Financial Law at Boston University School of Law, with a focus on fintech, financial regulation, and emerging technologies. My experience spans fintech practice, policy facing legal work, and professional legal institutions.

As a student ambassador with the Boston Bar Association, I have gained firsthand experience collaborating with legal professionals, organising community initiatives, and advocating for ethical legal practices.

I also serve as a permanent cabinet member of the Pakistani Young Lawyers Association, mentoring and supporting young lawyers navigating an evolving legal profession.

I believe law should empower individuals and communities, especially in areas where technology and policy intersect.

Values

What I hold to

Four positions that shape how I take on work. Open a row to read further.

Ethical practice is not a compliance layer applied at the end. In financial regulation especially, the choice of how to read a rule is made early, quietly, and usually by someone who will not carry the consequences.

Legal work should meet technology where it actually is, not where a decade old statute assumed it would be. That means learning how a product works before forming a view on how it should be regulated.

No jurisdiction has solved digital assets. The useful work happens when regulators, practitioners, and academics compare what has failed, and that requires people who can read all three conversations.

Financial regulation decides who gets access to the system. When rules are written badly, the cost lands on the people with the least room to absorb it. That is the test I apply.
